For over 6 years the Chinook Tavern has been a culinary treasure of Denver. Named after the warm, dry winds that descend the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains, the Chinook is a family owned restaurant which features contemporary American cuisine with a genuine European twist using the freshest ingredients, and locally grown organic produce when available. |
Chef and owner Markus Georg was trained in Europe at Michelin-rated restaurants. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and after a number of years leading restaurants in Denver and Vail, he now brings his creativity, experience and commitment to the Chinook Tavern.
Chef Markus has been a dedicated user of Culinary Software Services products. He started with Escoffier in 1992, and has since upgraded to ChefTec Plus and also uses ChefTec PDA. Primarily using the software for menu costing, inventory control and ordering Chef Markus touts the ease of use and time saving qualities of ChefTec. "Ever since I have been using ChefTec I have run a 28% food cost,” said Markus “With a click of a button I can run reports on purchases and inventory, as well as track credits.
