ChefTec Product Provides State-of-the-Art Recipe and Menu Costing and Inventory Software
BOULDER, Colo., December 9, 1999 — The December issue of Small Business Computing magazine features a story on Chef Rick Kangas and his use of ChefTec software to manage his inventory at the award winning Grouse Mountain Grill, in Vail, Colorado. ###
The article, called "A Dash of Tech", can be viewed at Small Business Computing's website, at www.smalloffice.com. Written by David Schloss, it details Kangas' multifaceted use of ChefTec throughout his operation, from managing physical inventory to taking advantage of ChefTec's interface with the online ordering systems available with major broadline vendors. Schloss also highlights the savings in both time and money that Chef Kangas realizes using ChefTec, summing up, "The technology [in ChefTec] employed shoulder-to-shoulder with stoves, refrigerators, and cutting boards at Grouse Mountain Grill helps it stay a cut above the rest."
ChefTec and its sister product, ChefTec Plus, were the first 32-bit, Windows 98/95/2000/NT compatible recipe costing and inventory control products on the market. ChefTec PDA works with the Palm III from 3Com® and allows users to take their personal digital assistant throughout their operation, entering inventory counts, and then instantly upload the physical counts into ChefTec on their desktop.
