New Functionality Added To ChefTec PDA BarCoder
Culinary Software Services has added scanning to ordering in state of the art ChefTec PDA BarCoder
BOULDER, Colo. - March 27, 2002 — Culinary Software Services has released the latest feature to ChefTec PDA BarCoder. With the latest version of ChefTec PDA users can scan inventory for ordering. With point and scan technology, users can save up to 50% on the time it takes them to take physical inventory and create orders. With ChefTec, users can create orders from scratch, based on par levels, or based on lowest price/lowest bid. Also, users can generate orders for multi-vendors or single vendor and convert orders into invoices instantaneously and modify for changes on receipt of goods.
Roy Scardilla, owner of the Conesus Inn located in Conesus, NY has been a user of ChefTec PDA and finds it to be a valuable tool in the kitchen. At the Conesus Inn there are over 3,000 inventory items. Part of Scardilla's daily routine is to spend time with ChefTec generating orders.
"I have put the bar code labels on the shelves where my inventory items are, and for the first time in 40 years all my inventory is accounted for," said Scardilla. From within ChefTec, users can create unique barcodes on labels and place the labels on the shelves where inventory is kept.
